Composition
Each 1 or 5 ml vial of Ziconotide respectively contain 100 or 500 mcg of ziconotide acetate with other excipients accordingly
Indications
It is indicated in chronic pain.
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effect has been observed such as skin sores, confusion, aggression, fever.
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with neurological disorder, bleeding disorder, bladder problems.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patient with bleeding disorder, bone disorder, psychosis, pregnancy and lactation, allergic reaction.
Dosage and administration
In adult 2.4 mcg dose administrated via intrathecal device 2 to 3 times per week
