Composition
Each gram of cream contains either of three strengths 1, 0.5, and 0.25mg with other ingredients accordingly.
Indications
It is indicated in acute vulgaris and acute promyelocytic leukemia.
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effect has been observed such as painful urination, breathing difficulty, high/low blood pressure, and hallucination.
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with heart and liver disease, high white blood cell count, pregnancy, and lactation.
Contraindications
This drug is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity
Dosage and administration
Oral tablet- In adults usual dose consists of a tablet of 45 mg/m2/day to be given in two divided doses. Topical- 0.05% to be topically applied over the affected area.
