Composition
Each mL contrains sufentanil citrate equivalent to 50 mcg of sufentanil base, sodium chloride , sodium hydroxide , water
Indications
It is indicated as Analgesia in intubation ,epidural analgesic during labor and vaginal delivery
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effect has been observed such as bradycardia, visual disturbance, sedation, seizure, respiratory arrest, urinary retention
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with respiratory impairement, hypothyroidism, seizures, head injury
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patient with hypersensitivity
Dosage and administration
In adult 8 mcg/kg dose administrated via intravenously. As primary anesthesia- in adult > 8 mcg/kg dose administrated via intravenously. As epidural anesthesia- in adult 10-15 mcg administrated via intravenously with 10 ml bupivacaine 0.125% with or without epinephrine
