Composition
Each tablet contains sitagliptin phosphate monohydrate, equivalent to 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg sitagliptin
Indications
It is indicated to control high blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effects have been observed such as upset stomach diarrhea upper respiratory infection runny nose and sore throat joint pain, Pancreatitis, Bullous phemphigoid, muscle pain
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with kidney problems, a history of pancreatitis, pregnant women and breastfeeding, previous swelling of the tongue, face, lips, breathing difficulty
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in people with kidney problems, pancreatitis, diabetic ketoacidosis type 1 diabetes
Dosage and administration
In adults the usual dose consists of a tablet of 100 mg to be given orally once daily with or without food
