Composition
Each tablet contain levophanol tartrate 2 mg with other excipients accordingly
Indications
It is indicated in moderate to severe pain
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effect has been observed such as low blood pressure, decrease respiratory rate, kidney failure.
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with kidney disease, liver disease, thyroid problem, urinary problem, pregnancy and lactation.
Contraindications
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with hypersensitivity
Dosage and administration
Oral dose- In adult usual dose consists of tablet of 2mg to be given orally with or without food. Intravenous dose- in adult usual dose consists of 1 mg to administrated intravenously. Intramuscular/subcutaneous- in adult usual dose consists of 1 to 2 mg to administrated intramuscular/subcutaneously
