Composition
Tablet- Each coated tablet available in 50 mg 100 mg ketoprofen contain ketoprofen IP 50 mg 100 mg P equivalent along with other active ingredients. Injection- Each ml contain 50 mg ketoprofen with other excipients accordingly. Gel- Ketoprofen I.P 2.5% w/w Alcohol I.P 36.8% w/w
Indications
It is indicated in pain fever and inflammation
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effect has been observed such as visual disturbance, kidney impairement, skin rash, loss of appetite
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with high blood pressure, bleeding problem, heart attack, pregnancy and lactation
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patient with asthma, allergic reaction, renal and hepatic impairement hypersensitivity
Dosage and administration
Oral dose- In adult usual dose consist of capsule of 25-200 mg to be given 4 times daily with food. Topical – Apply 2.5% gel two to four times in a day for 10 days
