Composition
Each mL suspension contains 100 U (3.5 mg) of insulin aspart(30% as soluble insulin aspart & 70% as insulin aspart protamine crystal), phenol 1.5 mg, and metacresol 1.72 mg with other excipients
Indications
It is indicated to control high blood sugar in adults with type 1 and type 2 diabetes
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effects have been observed such as low potassium, fluid retention, trouble breathing, rash
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with liver and kidney disease, eye disease, low blood sugar, pregnant and breastfeeding
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in people with low blood sugar, low potassium levels
Dosage and administration
It is available as- 100 U/mL suspension containing 30% insulin aspart and 70% insulin aspart protamine to be administered subcutaneously 15 minutes before or after meal initiation
