
Composition
Each single-dose vial contains 100mg infliximab – Axxq with other excipients accordingly.
Indications
This drug is indicated in patients with ulcerative colitis, Crohn‘s disease rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing arthritis.
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effect has been observed such as abdominal pain arrhythmia, liver damage, a blood disorder
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with COPD, liver problems seizures, infection.
Contraindications
This drug is contraindicated in patients with heart failure, allergic reaction.
Dosage and administration
For Crohn‘s disease, ulcerative colitis, and ankylosing spondylitis- in adult usual adult dose is 5 mg /kg injection to be given intravenously at 0,2,6 weeks, thereafter 5 mg/kg every 8 weeks. For rheumatoid arthritis- In adults, a dose is 3 mg /kg injection to be given intravenously at 0,2,6 weeks and thereafter 3 mg/kg every 8 weeks.
