Composition
Each uncoated tablet is available in 30, 40, 60, 80, and 160 mg and contains Gliclazide IP with other excipients accordingly.
Indications
This drug is indicated to control high blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effect has been observed such as jaundice, diarrhea, gastrointestinal disorder, and a decrease in blood cell count.
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with liver and kidney disease, allergy pregnancy, and lactation.
Contraindications
This drug is contraindicated in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis, severe kidney and renal impairment, and hypersensitivity.
Dosage and administration
In adults usual dose consists of a tablet of 160 mg to be given in divided doses orally with food.
