Composition

Each single-dose extended-release tablet available in 2.5, 5, and 10 mg is composed of felodipine USP equivalent along with other ingredients.

Indications

Usage of this drug is indicated in the treatment of Hypertension mild to moderate in nature, prevention of strokes, and prevention of heart attacks.

Side effects

A mild to moderate range of side effects have been observed. Side effects such as Dizziness, fatigue, headache, nausea, blurred vision, Swollen ankles, light-headedness, stomach upset, drowsiness, and bloating.

Precautions

This medication is to be prescribed cautiously in patients with severe dizziness or light-headedness, and to be used cautiously during pregnancy.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with Low blood pressure, flushing, and palpitations.

Dosage and administration

In adults in the case of hypertension, the usual dosage consists of 2.5 mg to be administered orally once a day.
