A single tablet of Cefdinir (200 mg or 500 mg) is composed of Cefepime IP, equivalent to 200 mg or 500 mg of Cefdinir.


Its use is indicated in the treatment of pneumonia, urinary tract infections, skin-related infections that are uncomplicated in nature, intra-abdominal infections, bacterial pyelonephritis, and subcutaneous tissue infections.

Side effects

Mild to moderate side effects have been observed. side effects such as headache, nausea, vomiting, rash, diarrhea, and oral candidiasis.


This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with diabetes, patients with a previous history of penicillin or cephalosporin allergy, gastrointestinal disease, lactation, pregnancy, or seizures.


The use of this drug is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or drugs of this class.

Dosage and administration

The usual dose for adults is a 500 mg tablet taken orally every 12 hours after meals.
