Composition
A single-dose film-coated tablet of this fixed drug dose combination of azilsartan, medoxomil, and chlorthalidone available in 40 mg / 12.5 mg dosage forms consist of Azilsartan Medoxomil equivalent to 40 mg and chlorthalidone IP equivalent to 12.5 mg along with other ingredients.
Indications
Usage of this drug is indicated in the treatment of increased blood pressure. Usage of this medicine is indicated in the treatment of Hypertension, Congestive heart failure, and treatment of edema.
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effects have been observed. Side effects such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal or stomach pain, blistering of the skin, burning, itching, cough, and hoarseness of voice.
Precautions
This medicine is to be prescribed cautiously in patients with severe hepatic disorders, and renal dysfunction.
Contraindications
This medicine is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to this drug or any of its constituents, This drug is contraindicated in patients with advanced chronic renal dysfunction or diseases, orthostatic hypotension.
