Composition
Each tablet contains 500 mg or 875 mg of amoxicillin as trihydrate in a 500 mg or 875 mg form. Each film-coated, capsule-shaped tablet is debossed with "Amoxil" over it.
Indications
Ear, nose, and throat infections; genitourinary tract infections; intra-abdominal infections; infections of the lower respiratory tract (pneumonia, bronchitis); post-surgical infections; skin and subcutaneous tissue bacterial infections.
Side effects
Mild in nature; diarrhea; nausea; vomiting; erythematous rashes; muscle aches; back, leg, or stomach pains.
Precautions
With renal and liver impairment, dosage should be adjusted and given adequately.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity reaction to penicillin or any other constituent of the product.
Dosage and administration
Take one 875 mg tablet every 12 hours or one 500 mg tablet every 8 hours, as directed.
