
Composition
Each film-coated tablet contains alogliptin benzoate and pioglitazone hydrochloride equivalent to 12.5 mg alogliptin and 30 mg pioglitazone
Indications
It is indicated to control high blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effects have been observed such as autoimmune reaction, pain in joints, burning on urination, cold symptoms
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with bladder cancer, kidney, and liver disease, pancreatitis, polycystic ovary syndrome, pregnancy and breastfeeding, respiratory tract infection
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in people with heart failure and hypersensitivity
Dosage and administration
In adults the usual dose consists of the tablet of Alogliptin Pioglitazone 25 mg/15 mg or 25 mg/30 mg to be given orally once a day with or without food
